It has come to the attention of several of us that Andy Fanton, writer of Lord Likely and general top-hatted man about town, is in need of some assistance. Times are hard for all of us, but especially right now for Andy. If you can throw a few quid in the top hat, you're throwing bread upon the waters; some day it'll come back to you. It has to me. See the giant blue box on the top of the page, and if you can, post it on your own site.

Why are donations not showing up on the bar? Sad I like watching the bar go up!

Gave what I could; unfortunately it wasn't very much. Best of luck to you, Andy.

@Lyn The amounts are updated as they're processed on the receiving end of PayPal.

I'm sure everything will work out. To make certain of this, I made a contribution.

I'll be getting this on my sites as well!

Thanks to those who contributed. Even a buck helps, folks. Andy's hurtin'.

Three days later, and the phrase "sticky wicket" is STILL cracking me up.

This is truly the loveliest thing ever, and I thank you all from the bottom of my topper! Smile

Everything that can go wrong has gone wrong of late, but this puts a big tick in the 'things gone right' column!

Thank you all again!

I second that, and then third and fourth it to boot.

It was my earnest intention to increase this fund in my humble way from the start but -- shame on me! -- I had been putting it off until the designated date. Having received more information upon the exact nature of your pecuniary peril, Mr. Fanton, I donate now, hoping dearly my paltry few quid assist in quelling the displeasure of the Likely Land Lord.
