Lyssa's Tale: by Zodi Mitchell

This story is at the same site as Black Mask & Pale Rider, and contains both Shani and Pania, the two main characters of BM&PR. This is written by my co-blogger, Zodi Mitchell.

Lyssa's tale is about not only the world of Terra-Kal where our two elven gunslingers come from, but also of Lyssa, a young, half-breed elf who struggles to survive in the world. While she meets many who offer her assistance, she is plagued by the viciousness of her older brother. Travel to the small villages of Terra-Kal, the storied City of Stonebridge and par-take in the Brockton Festival, and discover the tale that is Lyssa's.
