Images and Drupal
Hey all,
I am at a loss as how to handle images in Drupal with the exception of the logo. I have half a dozen image modules, and I can upload pictures, but when I've put image source HTML into a block and tried to displayed, nothing happens. I'd really like to be able to have some images other than the logo to relieve the severity of the theme I'm using and make the site look a little more engaging. Whenever I look at Drupal.org's release notes I feel a little like I'm listening to German: It's almost English, but just so subtly off it's incomprehensible.
Here's a list of the modules I have (some of which I don't even know what they do):
- Image
- Image Attach
- Image Gallery
- Image Import
- ImageMagick Advanced Options
- A horde of 'Taxonomy Image' options
Is there some sort of trick to this or am I missing something really basic?
Hey there,
Essentially what I'd like to do is be able to place an image in any user area. For instance, I want to put an image in 'Content Top,' so I uploaded an image, created a new block, put this code in the block body with the input filter set to full HTML, and placed that block in the region 'Content Top.' Now a box the size of the image I want with a little image icon loads for a few seconds loads before disappearing.
You've got the path incorrectly set, then.
By the way, in your signature file here, the html linking to your site is broken.
Thanks for pointing out the broken link, Meilin.
I used firebug to find out where the image really was as opposed to where the image module was displaying it, and it looks like it's working. Sweeeeeeet.
Thanks for your input.

1) Check your input filters. You may be filtering out image code. Make your default filter Full HTML, not Filtered.
2) I'm not sure exactly what it is you're trying to do that's not working. Can you be more specific?
