EpiGuide Web Entertainment Community

Review Sites, Listings and Guides

The EpiGuide is a community devoted to original web-based entertainment sites -- in particular, those that are continually updated, usually in regularly-scheduled installments or episodes. Serialized entertainment can take any form, whether it's text, cartoons, online comics, streaming audio/video or a combination of the above. If people can imagine it and create it, there will almost certainly be a Web series for it! We consist of both site producers (i.e., the backstage staffers who develop entertainment websites) and audience members, though the latter are mostly lurkers or those who post in the webseries forums we host.

We have a link directory, articles, interviews, episode previews/recaps, discussions, tutorials, resources (such as our famous character profile chart) and annual projects such as August's WeSeWriMo (Web Series Writing Month) and the Get Hooked On... series. Content creators are also welcome to participate by adding their listings to the directory, introducing themselves and their work, posting all your episode/installment updates in our Site News & Updates forum, promoting your site via purchases of banners and even a custom message board.

Please join in ... the community is all of us, and that includes you!

I get regular hits from EpiGuide--not as many as WFG, but a solid number. Be sure to list yourself there!

How does one list with them?

How does one list with them? I'm poking around in their FAQ but don't see the guidelines for that so far.

I tried to get a link to their guidelines for you but hit a problem with the site. I think they've moved servers or something today and there are a few teething problems.

Thanks for the heads-up,

Thanks for the heads-up, Miladysa. Yes, every now and then vbulletin hiccups, and I'm sure the server move didn't help its digestion!

Hiya Seth! You just sign up for an account and click "directory" on the top menu. The direct link is http://www.epiguide.com/forums/local_links.php -- you can then drill to the category you're interested in and choose Add Entry on the menu bar. We don't have really strict guidelines for listing. The work has to be available online and not be outright no-holds-barred pr0n (i.e. not even a pretense at having a real story; sexually explicit stuff is okay) or some kinda hate/racist site, but otherwise it's all good. Adult stuff should be labelled, if possible.

Our more general Rules/Guidelines are in the menu dropdown called "Site Info," the top item. Or click here for guidelines and also while you're at it, check out info on how to promote your site at the Eppy.

Hope this helps!
