Useful Twitter Hashtags

Used for pimping other people's weblit (not your own) on Wednesdays.

This started just today and it's pretty fun. Pull up a quote from your WebLit story and tweet it with the hash. Then when people search the hash to find out what it's all about, they get to see all the fabulous Weblit quotes that have been tweeted recently.

There's no way to do this wrong (okay, there's a way to do anything wrong, but it's somewhat difficult this time) but here are a couple of tips:

#spec_sing is created for writers of speculative fiction living in Singapore.

Do you write flash fiction--extremely short stories? Then use the hashtag #fridayflash on, you guessed it, Fridays to direct writers and readers to your work!

#Writechat, moderated by @WritingSpirit, is open to all writers, editors and agents. It's a freewheeling discussion loosely based on a topic selected by @WritingSpirit. She is kind enough to archive the chats and present them at her website.

Sundays, 12 pm - 3 pm Pacific time (-7 GMT in daylight, -8 GMT in standard).

#Editorchat takes place every Wednesday night from 8:30-10:30 Eastern time (-4 GMT during daylight savings, -5 GMT in standard time). It describes itself as "a place for professional writers and editors who use the micro-blogging service Twitter to discuss how best to help one another."

Sort of like #DNchat, but for those darn complaining Aussies and Brits who can't just make a little extra time at odd hours to chat with the rest of us.

Every Thursday from approximately 8 pm to 9 pm US Pacific Time (-7 GMT during daylight savings time, -8 GMT otherwise). Specifically for the members of DigitalNovelists.com, but open to anyone including readers.
