The Web Fiction Directory
Submitted by Tonya Moore on Tue, 03/16/2010 - 10:05pmFor the purposes of this particular directory, I define Web Fiction as short stories, flash fiction, comics, graphic novels, fiction podcasts or serialized novels published on a web site or blog. As anyone who is familiar may know, I also have a passion for exploring diverse media for distributing, presenting fiction, so I wanted to make accommodation for those endeavors in the Web Fiction Directory.
The Penny Dreadful
Submitted by capriox bovidae on Thu, 02/11/2010 - 7:59pmA guide to serial weblit in the tradition of the old penny dreadful publications. The site lists weblit updates with excerpts from recent posts, but doesn't host the whole story like digitalnovelists.com does.
Top Web Fiction
Submitted by MeiLin on Tue, 11/24/2009 - 3:04pmThe guy behind Web Fiction Guide has now started a voting service rather like Top Web Comics and other similar ventures. Get yourself listed and start sending your fans over there!
EpiGuide Web Entertainment Community
Submitted by Kira on Fri, 10/02/2009 - 11:17amThe EpiGuide is a community devoted to original web-based entertainment sites -- in particular, those that are continually updated, usually in regularly-scheduled installments or episodes. Serialized entertainment can take any form, whether it's text, cartoons, online comics, streaming audio/video or a combination of the above. If people can imagine it and create it, there will almost certainly be a Web series for it! We consist of both site producers (i.e., the backstage staffers who develop entertainment websites) and audience members, though the latter are mostly lurkers or those who post in the webseries forums we host.
Self-Publishing Review
Submitted by irkdesu on Thu, 10/01/2009 - 1:20pmThe Self-Publishing Review is an online magazine devoted to self-publishing: book reviews, publisher reviews, interviews, news, opinion, and how to’s for the self-publisher.
The aim of this site is to legitimize self-publishing – not just as a fallback plan, but as an avenue that’s increasingly necessary and useful in a competitive publishing industry. If the site has a manifesto it is to improve the culture around self-publishing.
Muse's Success
Submitted by irkdesu on Mon, 09/28/2009 - 8:16pm"Muse’s Success’ mission is to create a catalog of each and every web based novel (or serial) available on the World Wide Web. In addition, we allow our visitors to review stories within our catalog, and also provide a community in which authors and readers of web based novels can interact and communicate."
Web Fiction Guide
Submitted by irkdesu on Mon, 09/28/2009 - 8:07pm"Web Fiction Guide is a community-run listing of online fiction. We list anything that is original and story-oriented (we don’t list fanfic or erotica), and that is available to read for free online. As with other online media (blogs, webcomics, etc.), some of it’s good, and some of it’s not. Our goal is to help you find stuff you want to read."
WFG allows user accounts, ratings and reviews. It also has a pretty snazzy discussion forum for both writers and readers. Really, the go-to place for Web Fiction.
The e-Fiction Book Club
Submitted by Merrilee on Thu, 09/24/2009 - 7:41pmWe review novels, novellas, blog-fics, series and short story collections in all genres except erotica. Our definition of e-fiction is fiction published in its entirety on the internet, whether by a registered e-publisher or by an individual.
We want to promote discussion and interaction between readers. Read along with us and have your say!
