At April Raines' Storybook Corner there are three works to choose from. My main work, The Shadows of Sicily, is a supernatural power struggle in set in Classical Sicily. My secondary work, GURD 2108, is a warm, friendly exploration of community in a post-apocalyptic world. The third is a smattering of poetry.

I strive to make people think, to make them feel and to touch them on some emotional level. I'd like to think I grow as a writer every day, and get a little stronger with every chapter (your own mileage may vary, of course!) My current project, Independence Day, tells the story of a small town like any other in the mid 1960s. They're good, hardworking, honest people...and one of them is a murderer.

I've been spinning fantasy tales in my head for years to entertain myself. Inspired by Alexandra Erin, MeiLin Miranda, and the terrible twins Karen Wehrstein & Shirley Meier, I'm just now starting up my first weblit serial in order to share my stories.

Most of my recent stuff has been fantasy, but I also like dipping my toes into science fiction, general fiction, and creative nonfiction. I hate writing on deadlines, which is why I don't have any serials running (at the moment)... and why November is my most productive month.

I'm a mainly fantasy, sci-fi writer, but I'm trying to branch out into drama as well. My main work is something that I've been working on since high school (so long ago!) that I've been posting on my website for free.

Having started his career with several published works of graffiti on bathroom stalls before moving up to memos on diner napkins, Mr. Rodgers briefly attended the prestigious West Chester University, where his revolutionary theories concerning the reconciliation of World War I with a time-traveling Napoleon leading the charge of an undead army of U.S. Confederates against Allied forces was met with widespread derision. Now he’s retreated to the seedy underbelly of the pneumatic Tubenets, where he tirelessly works to bring you the secret histories your sinister college professors do not want you to know.

I love vanilla ice cream. I mean, no kidding.

"No Man an Island" is my first complete novel: Boy meets girl. Fights demons. Faces the devil to save the girl. Who happens to be an angel. It's your basic love story, right?

"The Surprising Life and Death of Diggory Franklin" features the titular character, a young lawyer who meets the same woman, twice. The first time she warns him of impending doom, the second she has no idea who he is. Time travel sci-fi highjinks ensue.

"The Samaritan Project" is about government created superheroes, for some nefarious purpose.

At the moment, it's just rants. Though I do plan to post up original works too.

I write hard-boiled, noir-style cyberpunk science-fiction. My current project is a series of cyberpunk novels called The Bridge Chronicles, starring the amoral fixer of the Los Angeles underworld in the late 2020's, Artemis Bridge.

I write the regularly updated web-serial The Goatskin Usgar, a fantasy story about a young man trying to find his kidnapped mother.

I write about the angels and demons that wage war in my head. I also write about anything that inspires me, mostly what happens in real life.

I mainly write silly non-fiction articles about webfiction, aimed at webfiction fans and readers.

Storm's Fall is an erratically updated serial about a bunch of people who find themselves in the dubious position of trying to stop a war. (Or they would be if they ever got on the boat.)

Apocalypse Blog - a real-time fictional blog about one girl's journey through the end of the world. Acid rain, zombies, starvation and each other are just a few of the things that Faith and her friends have to survive.

Starwalker - set in 2213, this is an experimental starship's log, as told by the ship. The AI is a little bit wonky, her paint is still wet, and she's not sure what this weird drive of hers does to step between stars. On top of all that, there's her crew to deal with.

About Schuyler Falls is the saga of one community and its immensely screwed-up populace, kicked off when the brutal murder of a waitress in a jazz club touches the interconnected lives of the wealthy and working class, the repressed and the outrageous, the neurotic and the psychotic alike. The webseries, online since 1997, is unabashedly soapy storytelling with a strong sense of character and setting, and ranges from black humor to warped romance to tragedy to taut psychological drama to a touch of the bizarre that's almost, but not quite, supernatural. Readers can view maps, read bios of characters easily accessed within the text, catch up on stories via recaps, and vote on future plotlines. One of the earliest websoaps, ASF was a Yahoo! Site of the Day back in 1998.

I am also the cofounder, editor and administrator of the EpiGuide.com web entertainment community.

I've been writing stories as long as I've been literate, and imagining them even before that. My current project is a collaboration on the Guardians story that I started with some of my closest friends when we were in highschool. After years of edits and much laughter over the things we thought were hilarious when we were fifteen, we have decided to release it as a web novel. If it goes well, you will see more from us as a group and individually in the future.

Addergoole is dark urban fantasy, with my peculiar twist on the "magical school" sub-sub-sub-genre. There are no good guys, and it's never really clear who the bad guys are, either; everything is in a shade of gray.

I write fantasy and seem to gravitate toward Victoriana both in subject and style. I've spent almost my entire adult life (30+ years) writing nonfiction and have been writing fiction for two years.

That project, which may or may not be written with another semi-anonymous author, is a long shot born from our own economic desperation. Currently, the novel tracks the lives of Colin and Sylvia Andrews as they struggle to keep their house. Sadly, Colin's primary plan is to write a novel--a "Great American Cybernovel"--offering readers the chance to buy their way into the text. At the uncomfortable crux of crass commercialism, literature, genre-fiction, talking point politics, and economic crisis, Commercial Novel irreverently negotiates the thin, blurred lines between integrity and sales, truth and fiction, and hope and despair. We also think it's funny.

I'm currently working on two stories. Diary is routed firmly in the real world. It's partly based on things that have happened to me in my life, and partly based on whatever Ombri feels the need to share with me.
Children takes in an alternate earth and takes the mythos of angels and demons and puts a spin on it. It takes a look at the life of a girl who was "blessed" with the power of an "angel" and is being pursued by a "demon"

Carpe Arcanum is basically a serialized work of Urban Fantasy Fiction. Each Tuesday or Thursday I update the story by adding roughly 500 words, I won’t be cutting paragraphs in half, to it. So you’ll have to be sure to check back on a regular basis is you want to keep up. The intent of this site is to encourage me to write to a schedule and to keep it. At the same time I’ve set a limit on the length of each post to ensure I have time to work on some of my other works in progress.

The story was born in November of 2007 as my project for the NANOWrimo challenge. At the time it went by the name of ‘Its a kind of magic’ in reference to the arrival of the new magic that Gwen refers to in the opening prologue. Since that November the story has undergone a number of revisions, edits and even a name change. It is my hope that you stop by regularly and enjoy reading the story as it progresses.

Be warned that this story will contain adult activities, scenes, situations and described nudity. This will be by no means erotica, and this type of thing will not happen every day. A gay vampire/vampire hunter romance told in the first person. With some side stories thrown in.

I write science fiction and fantasy and have two ongoing serial novels. I'm getting ready for NaNoWriMo and trying to keep some sanity in my life. Just for grins.

The novels post as pages rather than chapters with each averaging about 1,000 words. Eventually I will clean them up for publication, and then there will be actual chapters. For now, I'm trying to not stop in a weird place while giving you a reasonably sized update.

The short story is divided into scenes, some of which are pretty short. It's a quick read and, hopefully, a thought-provoking one.

Most of my stories are personal-journey themed, and I try to vary the telling of each. S&T has more thinking and talking while SnS has a bit of action in it. I throw in some politics, social engineering, stubborness, and craptacular circumstances to keep things interesting.

I write geeky urban fantasy.

The sci-fi/romance serial Strange Little Band, which I write with @writingnessie, is my main focus right now. It's is the ongoing story of Addison and Shane, two self-centered, amoral psychics who work for the cut-throat Triptych Corporation. Their insular, comfortable lives are disrupted when, due to Triptych’s machinations, they become unlikely parents. How can they raise a child when they can’t trust each other?

I am the author of Forever of the Universe a new web-serial about the secret underworld where vampires and elves not only exist, but are fighting each other over the fate of the Human Race. I have been writing for myself since middle school, and even had some popularity as a fanfiction writer, but when I saw the success of web-serials, I decided to give it a shot.

Speculative Fiction Writer and occasional Poet. I'm currently obsessed with writing Space Opera type stories but Urban and Horror Fantasy do find their way into my stories. I love exploring various genres and mediums and it's evident in my work.

I have currently been working on fiction blogs (Vampires of Potts Point and Guinea Pig Sighs). The vampire one features gothic and/or satirical short stories. The guinea pig one features rants and scatological gags for all those who love Guinea Pigs (and who doesn't!)

I am a lover of fantasy, science fiction, urban fantasy and paranormal and that's pretty much what I read and write.

My strongest interest in writing has been science fiction, but I've also enjoyed fantasy.

Oddly enough, what I'm currently writing online is neither of the above (or maybe both). I'm writing superhero fiction. You know what I mean. Stories where people dress up in costume go out and fight crime.

I'd like to think that I'm doing something a little different than mainstream comics though -- if only because I don't have to deal with making sure my story fits somebody else's predefined universe.
